Hot on the heels of Vine, a new video app is now available to download on mobile. 

Oevo is a video platform that allows users to create and upload seven second videos, in a similar vein to Vine.

Oevo stands for 'original entertainment video online', which seems like a fitting description of what the app will provide.

Dollar dollar 

Oevo gives users the opportunity to make money from their content. The app has daily contests and then rewards popular videos with cash prizes. The top 25 creators per day will recieve a split of a $100 prize pot. According to the site, each user will win $4. 

An additional dollar will be rewarded if a winner screenshots their reward and shares on Facebook or Twitter. 

Whether this'll inspire a new wave of original content or just become a hub for people to cash in on recycled memes and old Vine jokes, we'll have to wait and see.
